This Privacy Policy describes how TXE Back in Stock Alert ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Shopify application.

By installing or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2 Information We Collect

From Merchants (Shopify Store Owners)

When you install the App, we collect:

• Your Shopify store domain and access token (required to interact with the Shopify API)
• Store name and primary domain
• Billing plan and subscription status

From Your Customers (End Users)

When a customer subscribes to a back-in-stock notification on your store, we collect:

• Email address
• The product and variant they subscribed to
• Optional: consent checkbox response (for GDPR compliance)
• Timestamp of subscription

3 How We Use the Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Send automated back-in-stock email notifications to subscribed customers when inventory is restocked
• Display waitlist counts on your storefront
• Provide subscriber management and usage statistics within the App dashboard
• Process billing and manage your subscription plan
• Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4 Data Sharing

We share data only with the following parties, strictly to operate the App:

Railway (railway.app)	Application hosting and database infrastructure

All third-party providers are required to handle data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

5 Data Retention

• Subscriber data: Retained as long as the subscriber has not unsubscribed or requested deletion, or as long as your store has the App installed.
• Merchant store data: Deleted within 30 days of App uninstallation.
• Sent notification records: Retained for up to 12 months for billing and usage reporting purposes.

6 Your Customers' Rights (GDPR)

If you operate in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, your customers have the following rights regarding their personal data:

• Right to access — request a copy of their stored data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of their data
• Right to withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in any notification email
• Right to data portability — request their data in a portable format

7 Cookies

The App itself does not use cookies. The embedded Shopify admin interface may use cookies as governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.

9 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
